Good morning Men of God!

I had an interesting conversation with one of my team members this week.  Something happened in a business deal and she was very anxious, nervous, mentally losing it. Now mind you, she had no control of the situation.  I said this to her “don’t allow someone else to steal your peace and don’t allow his or her bad character to put pressure on you, you keep your peace”.  Now that conversation leads us to this one word and that is the word “REST”.  Without rest we are bound.  We are prone to worry, anxiety, and fear.   When we rest in God we are able to see how God sees each situation.  When we don’t rest anxiety, worry and fear will get the best of us.  When we have no personal discipline of rest and peace we need to examine ourselves and ask ourselves why are we not at rest? Rest allows us to see into the spirit.  It creates expectancy in our hearts and empowers our intimacy with Jesus.

Hebrews 4:11 says, “Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will perish by following his or her example of disobedience."

We work at resting!!! We push away anything that would cause worry, anxiety, and fear.  Thankfulness is the gate to enter into a place of rest. Believe this, You are at rest, now, in Jesus. Abide in Him, stay at rest.  Most important, we do not work hard to acquire rest.  It is freely given.  We work hard to remain in it.  Be blessed, stay in rest, and go be GREAT to day!
